Sevendos Group, a fast-growing Finnish IT company, is strengthening its leadership to support continued growth. Olli Kari has been appointed the new CEO of Polar Squad, a software company within the group. The current CEO, Tuomas Lindholm, moves to a group-level role at Sevendos to focus on building global technology partnerships. These appointments support Sevendos’ ambition to become a leading technology consultancy across Europe.
Sevendos strengthens its leadership with a new role to accelerate growth – new CEO appointed at Polar Squad
Polar Squad, part of Sevendos Group, is a leading expert in demanding cloud, DevOps, and AI platforms. Over the past eight years, the company has established itself as a trusted strategic partner to market leaders such as Finago, RELEX, and Finnair. AI is permanently changing the requirements of digital development. Top-level operational performance now requires a level of reliability and standardisation that goes beyond traditional development environments. Polar Squad is responding to this shift by moving its focus from optimising individual teams toward a comprehensive platform engineering model.
This strategic transition will be led by Olli Kari, who brings over 20 years of experience in scaling expert organisations. His role is to ensure that Polar Squad continues to be recognised as one of the most influential players in the field during this period of change.
“I am genuinely excited about this role and the next phase of Polar Squad. Success today comes down to who can bring technology, teams, and processes together into one effective platform. We automate routine work and make quality a constant, so capacity can be fully focused on development. For our customers, this means faster progress and results that clearly stand out,” says Kari.
Technology partnerships as a new engine for growth
In his new role as VP of Partnerships, Tuomas Lindholm will focus on building and developing Sevendos Group’s global technology partnerships. Collaboration with partners such as Microsoft, NVIDIA, and the European cloud provider UpCloud allows Sevendos to offer its customers modern technologies and ready-made solutions for future needs.
“Our goal is to build Sevendos into a next-generation technology partner. Everything we do starts with customer needs and problem-solving. Our broad partner network ensures that our customers get the best possible solutions, regardless of platform or vendor,” Lindholm says. “In this role, I can fully focus on developing partnerships and making sure our customers get access to deep expertise and solutions through a single partner. At the same time, it feels good to leave Polar Squad in capable hands.”
“Partnerships are a key part of Sevendos’ journey toward a leading position in Europe. Through them, we continue to improve our services and support our already strong growth,” says Jonne Heikkinen, CEO of Sevendos Group.
